Atlantic County Clerk Provides Updates on Vote-By-Mail for 2026 General Election

Atlantic County Clerk Joseph J. Giralo is advising Atlantic County voters that, at this time, there are no changes to the Vote-by-Mail process for the November 3, 2026 General Election.

The Atlantic County Clerk’s Office is aware of recent federal developments regarding Vote-by-Mail and understands that these developments have raised questions among Atlantic County voters.

“Our office has received a number of questions from voters regarding the status of Vote-by-Mail for the upcoming General Election,” said Giralo. “At this time, our message to Atlantic County voters is simple: there are no changes to our Vote-by-Mail process, and we are continuing to prepare for the General Election according to the established schedule.”

The Atlantic County Clerk’s Office will continue preparing and processing Vote-by-Mail ballots in accordance with current New Jersey law and the established election schedule. Vote-by-Mail ballots are scheduled to commence mailing on September 19, 2026.

Voters who are currently enrolled to receive a Vote-by-Mail ballot do not need to take any action at this time.

“We understand that recent developments may be confusing for voters, and we want to make sure Atlantic County residents have clear and accurate information,” Giralo said. “Our office will continue to monitor any developments and provide updates if anything changes that affects our voters.”

The Atlantic County Clerk’s Office will continue to monitor federal and state developments and guidance that may affect Vote-by-Mail procedures. Should any changes affect Atlantic County voters, the office will provide updated information as it becomes available.

Voters are encouraged to rely on official election information from the Atlantic County Clerk’s Office and the New Jersey Division of Elections for the most current information regarding the 2026 General Election.
